School Uniform

Children are encouraged to take a pride in their appearance and with a number of fantastic uniform options this is not a chore. A large range of uniform us available at Sam Scotts, Little Dockray, Penrith.

Our stylish polo shirt with our school logo is worn by both boys and girls and is available from Sam Scotts. Polo shirts are worn by boys with smart school trousers or tailored school shorts in black or charcoal grey. Girls wear either tailored school trousers, shorts or skirts in either black or charcoal grey. Children may also wear plain white polo shirts in place of our branded shirt.

Sweatshirts and cardigans are available at Sam Scotts complete with our school logo. Children from nursery to Year 5 wear royal blue.

To reflect the additional responsibility that comes with being the oldest pupils in school, our Year 6 pupils wear a sweatshirt in cherry red. This helps them to stand out in a crowd and enables our younger pupils to find them easily for support or to help them find someone to play with.

During the warmer summer months, girls may choose to wear a checked summer dress in blue and white.

Footwear: Sensible black footwear should be worn by both boys and girls. We would ask parents to be aware that children will run and climb and play as part of every day in school. Shoes that allow them to do this safely – and with dry feet – are a must. Please avoid strappy sandals or trainers.

PE / GAMES

Our PE and Games kit is plain white t-shirt and unbranded shorts or skort in black. Please ensure that children bring a change of t-shirt in addition to their usual school polo shirt. Children should also bring suitable trainers and an extra pair of socks for outdoor PE sessions. In cold weather, children may also choose to wear black tracksuit bottoms or leggings and a sweatshirt. Earrings must be removed for PE lessons and sports clubs.
