Coronavirus - COVID-19 Advice and Guidance

Penrith Hub

At Appleby Primary School a fundamental way in which we work is through outward-facing collaboration with other schools locally. A key way in which we do this is through membership of the Penrith Hub.

Appleby Primary School is one of NINE member schools including: Beaconside Primary School, Brunswick School, Clifton Primary School, Culgaith School, Lowther Endowed School, North Lakes School, Shap School and St.Catherines School.

Headteachers wanted a solution that would bring people and resources together across a 10-mile radius in the Eden Valley. Sharing information could offer huge benefits for schools in the area, usually isolated from this type of interaction.  Collaboration with other schools enables teachers to share in skills, expertise, training opportunities and to engage in shared projects. Staff across the hub regularly engage with colleagues in other member schools with a number of groups meeting every half term.

Coronavirus Information Hub

At the Penrith Hub we have established a Coronavirus Information Hub in order to signpost parents, governors and professionals to the latest advice and guidance from the Government and NHS on the containment of Covid-19 Coronavirus. As a group of schools we engage daily with the latest advice and guidance in order to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of pupils and families.
