Appleby Primary School is proud to hold the British Council International School Award and E-twinning Award. We believe passionately in our commitment to enabling our children to explore both their pride in where they come from and our relationship with other countries and cultures around the world.
In September 2018 we embarked on Erasmus+; a project supported by both the British Council and the European Parliament. Our project has three themes which will enable our pupils to explore what we understand by cultural heritage and national and regional identity alongside other pupils across Europe:
Pupils at Appleby Primary School will engage with children from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Romania, Cyprus, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Poland and Portugal on the project. We will welcome pupils and teachers to our school as well as visiting them in theirs.
