PE:

Our PE slots for this half term are:

Wednesday mornings after breaktime (with sports coach Lucy) 

Thursday afternoons after lunch

Parents Evenings: these will be on Tuesday 11th November 5-7pm, and Thursday 13th November 3.30pm-5pm. 

On Friday 14th November it will be Children in Need: Children are encouraged to come dressed in spots, or non-unform, and there will be a cake stall and games to help raise money for Children in Need. If you are able to send in cakes in that would be absolutely amazing, and please send children in with some coins so they can play the games and buy any cakes if you are able. Thank you!

The PTFA will be having a Winter Bingo Night on Monday 17th November starting at 5.30pm! 

On Thursday 27th November we will be having our Winter/Christmas craft day! If you would like to help on the day this is very much encouraged, and please get in contact with the office or Mrs Dickinson. We will also be holding a non uniform day, or winter/Christmas jumpers for a small donation on the same day (donations to Save the Children)!

On Friday 28th November we will be having the police visiting to have a little session, helping us with learning more about road safety. Our Choir will also be singing at the Appleby Christmas Light switch on at 5.30pm.

On Monday 8th December there will be a PTFA Christmas Disco, details will follow.

On Tuesday 9th December we will have our Class 1 & 2 Play performance, in the afternoon (1.30pm) and the evening (5.30pm). 

On the 17th December we will be having a Carol Service at St Lawrences Church at 2pm. It is also Christmas Dinner Day! Yum!

On Friday 19th December the Christmas Hamper Raffle will be drawn before Assembly. This is also the last day of term. We will be finishing at 1.45pm.

On Wednesday 7th January Spring term will start. 

Cold Weather:

Please make sure your child brings a warm waterproof coat each day to school, along with a jumper. 

If they bring hats and gloves, please make sure these are labelled. 

We will still endeavor to go outside for PE, so please make sure they have warm labelled clothing for this.

Warm Weather:

Apply sun cream before school

Your child has a labelled hat

Your child has a fresh bottle of water (using the school bottles)

Homework

IN: Mondays (spelling) and Tuesdays (maths)

OUT: Mondays (spelling) and Tuesdays (maths)

Children will get 1 dojo point when they return their homework! 

We also encourage you to read regularly with your child, ideally every day, in order to increase their fluency and enjoyment of books. 

Running Clubs:

 Year 3: 

Tuesday: Years 3-6 Running Club 3:15 to 4:00pm every Tuesday until further notice. Pick up at Thanet Avenue Gate. Please contact the office or teachers if you would like your child to participate.

Year 2: 

Wednesday Lunchtimes: For Year 1 & 2's there is a lunchtime running club. Please let us know if this is something which they would be interested in, as there are limited spots.
