Staff members and parents, carers and young people will understandably be concerned and anxious as the current situation escalates. As increasing numbers of people are self-isolating at home, it is important to consider the impact of that isolation on our mental and emotional health.

Using a journal can be a good way of relaxing your mind when there is so much going on in the world. Some of our classes received an introduction to journalling before school closed. If your child didn't, then it can be completed in any notebook or even just on pieces of paper. Mrs Mackenzie has put together some ideas for how children can get started with their journals, these extra bits could run alongside their diary-style journal that we hope to collate in future.
