Welcome to the support for home learning page for Key Stage 1. The resources on this page are currently a starting point to give parents some ideas during the first week of school closures. Resources will become more tailored as time goes on.
In the initial stages, keep checking back as more work is added. We intend to refresh this work weekly now that schools across the country are closed. You can also find age-appropriate, educational activities on Purple Mash.
When isolated at home, it is recommended to establish a routine. We recommend accessing learning each day as part of this routine. It is also important, wherever possible, that children access fresh air and exercise daily too. If you have one, some time spent in the garden each day will be a vital part of maintaining both physical and mental health. Children should also read with their families frequently while not in school.
In addition to the resources below, you can find lessons and activities to support your child's learning in maths on the White Rose Maths website, we have also provided links to apps and websites which can help your children to continue their development in phonics.
