Times tables

We continue to emphasise the importance of a solid understanding of all times tables, as this is vital for success in many areas of mathematics. Please continue to practice times tables and corresponding division facts to ensure your child feels confident to use them independently. 

Reading

Please continue to read regularly with your child. Spending time listening to them reading aloud, talking about the text, and asking questions will help to develop their comprehension and fluency. Children have reading records where they can record the books they have read and you can write any comments. They also have weekly sessions in our school library where they can choose from a variety of text types.

Homework

Homework will be allocated on a Monday, and will be due to hand in the following Monday. 

PE

PE shall be on a Tuesday and Thursday each week. Please ensure that your child keeps their PE kit in school all week, and that it includes clothing appropriate for the weather. e.g. black joggers and black jumper suitable for outdoor PE lessons.
